Pedestrian Plaza, North Sydney TAFE
The design is combined landscape, architectural elements, and geometric floor pattern with earthy colours, inspired by Aboriginal art and links the spaces between the existing buildings.
It facilitates a smooth transition through the across corridor, creating a number of nodal points for rest or interaction.
All elements, such as natural stones, pigmented concrete finishes are in earthy colours. Brick paving, pebbles, steel structure with timber cladding, tinted glass, trees, grass, stone & timber seats, buildings and people, are equally important to create a sense of place in the Plaza.
